Hack the Blob is 24-hour hackathon organized entirely by students at Erindale Secondary School. Dozens of hackers like yourself will be coming together on September 28th, 2019, for a full 24 hours of hacking, learning, and having fun!
Hack The Blob is a hackathon - a sprint-like event in which innovators come up with usable software or hardware with the end goal of creating a functioning product. However, Hack The Blob aims to be more than just a hackathon. Besides the traditional design-a-product-or-service, we will also have several events such as workshops in computer programming and fun activities such as a Minecraft tournament and scavenger hunt!
We welcome any student; regardless of whether you are a middle schooler or university student, you can participate in Hack The Blob.
Make sure to bring your laptop and a charger. The event will be a day long and you will be staying overnight, so feel free to bring whatever makes you comfortable!
You may compete in groups of at most 4 members. It is recommended that you form your team prior to the event.
Yes! Pizza, snacks, and pop will be provided.
Absolutely! Beginners are always welcome. There will be workshops dedicated to help you learn how to create your product.
